We have a heart for our nonprofit clients.

We’ve worked with dozens of nonprofits throughout the years. Some have needed simple brochure-type websites for marketing while others have needed custom-programmed fundraising systems. Each nonprofit client is unique, but what many have in common is how they came to Back40.

The typical story goes something like this: volunteer finds nonprofit, volunteer wants to build nonprofit a new website, but soon volunteer realizes the magnitude of the project and their lack of time (or skills), volunteer backs out or parts ways with the organization – and, the nonprofit is left without the new website they need.

That’s exactly what happened for our most recent nonprofit client, Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village.

Building a New Responsive Website for Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village

It was time for Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village to focus on their web presence and create a cohesive look and feel that matched their on and offline brand. They needed a website that looked inviting, clearly communicated what they do, built trust with their donors and potential donors and provided a transparent view into their nonprofit and its facility.

“From the start, this was a collaborative effort. We had an online meeting with the team at Back40 Design to describe our work at Shepherd’s Field, and from this meeting they created our website. I was impressed by the project management; project milestones were visible and met on time,” said Lori Baxter, the Child Sponsorship Coordinator for Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village.

Our in-house team of web designers and developers built a website that’s truly an extension of their organization and that better represents who they are and the impact they make. The new website includes ways for visitors to easily donate, sponsor a child, find information about Shepherd’s Field and get involved.

“The staff helped me choose plugins for our website that were effective, easy to use, and cost-effective. With no background in web design, development or content maintenance, training and access to help were crucial.”

We’re proud of the final product and look forward to helping Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village continue to grow their website and organization.
