Apparently we know how to pick them. Winners, that is.
Both of our interns earned national awards and honors at the Business Professionals of America contest in Dallas, TX earlier this month.
Ethan, who is part of our web production development team, placed 2nd in SQL Database Fundamentals and in the top 10 for Fundamentals of Web Design.
Christy Whitfield, web design & development instructor at the Francis Tuttle Rockwell Campus says, “Ethan is extremely sharp and this showed in his results at our CareerTech Student Organization National Competition. Ethan works hard to understand technology and he has been using his SQL skills while working with WordPress.”
Sable, who is a graphic designer for the Edmond Outlook – our monthly direct mail publication, placed 3rd in Digital Publishing and 2nd in Graphic Design Promotion. Her promotional poster design won a place in the top 6 contenders from which next year’s conference brand and theme will be selected.
“Sable represented Francis Tuttle very well at National Contest. Not only did she make the podium in her 2 competitions, she also had our entire state association trading her lapel pin with other chapters from Alaska to Puerto Rico! Sable is an excellent student and will make someone an excellent designer. Her passion for design and her ability to problem solve sets her apart from her classmates. Her work always looks ‘print ready,” says Liz Dinkins, M.Ed., Graphic Communications Instructor at Francis Tuttle Technology Center.
Congratulations! We are proud to have you on the Back40 team.
