Earlier this week we had our company Christmas Party. After a heated company-wide discussion, a date and time were chosen (try picking a day/time for a family event that 13 people agree on).
We did our company Christmas Party a little different this year. For the first time ever, I volunteered to have the party at my house. Which I thought was a great idea, until I realized I had 6 days to transform my place into a winter wonderland. Actually, it was pretty easy, the stockings were already hung by the chimney with care. The rest was standard Griswold fare. Complete with a homemade photo booth.
We all gathered, families, spouses and significant others – exactly 40 people. Which was kind of interesting being a Back40 party and all. Uptown Grocery catered the event. And I’m pretty sure a great time was had by all.
Kids got gifts first and then headed upstairs for a screening of the Christmas Classic, Elf. Then it was time for the adults to play a couple of rounds of Dirty Santa. We started the game with a fair warning: You get what you get and you don’t complain or cry! All in all, it was a fun evening. Next year just give me more than 6 days notice. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
