Sonic celebrates their franchise owners and operators with an annual gathering filled with fun and professional development. This year they wanted upgrade their traditional printed program to an interactive, online version. Back40 was contracted to create the in-company marketing piece. Our graphic designers took the essence and spirit of the extensive 32 page magazine and created an interactive online version ─ built in a way to be easily reused year after year.
First step was creating a UI that guided the user through the major components of the convention ─ highlighting award winners and featuring Sonic personnel. From there, the development team took the designs and added in custom programming including an interactive map of all the new Sonic locations for the year. In addition, the new company-only site features highlights of the annual convention: speakers, awards, games, supporters, and a teaser for next year.
