XML (eXtensible Markup Language)
An update version of HTML that not only describes the way to lay out content on a web page for display and printing, which HTML does, but also describes the nature of the content. XML provides a way of indexing data for retrieval and for other kinds of manipulation. XML provides a simple way to handle data exchange over the Internet.
